AIB joins to the IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions), and has its delegates in the Standing committees.
AIB is chartered member of EBLIDA (European Bureau of Library, Information and Documentation Associations) and its representative has been elected in the Executive committee.
AIB is a partner of ABSIDE and MINERVA projects.
AIB joins the organization Blue shield.
It has been enrolled to FID (International Federation for Information and Documentation) until the dissolution of the agency (2001).
AIB collaborates with VÖB, Vereinigung Österreichische Bibliothekarinnen und Bibliothekare.
It has participated in MIDAS-NET.
It is possible to view the IFLA Documents translated into Italian and the next IFLA Conferences, annual meetings of international importance.
Moreover, AIB Notizie periodically informs about the activities of the Italian delegates at IFLA.
